Embedding in our Community

I’m grateful for our work together after worship on Sunday as we approved two significant parts of our life together.

First, we approved a budget that will let us move forward into 2012 making improvements to Grace Place, launching Community Groups, and upgrading office equipment to streamline our operations.  Thank you all for your generosity in giving to God’s mission in Holdrege.

Secondly, we gave unanimous consent to ask the Leadership Team and New Location Team to evaluate and report on two possible new locations in a brief meeting on February 5.  In addition to the Holdrege Sun, the building formerly hosting the Connection call center has become a possibility.  If you have questions, please bring them to Pastor Ted or any of the members of those two teams.

I’m also excited to announce that our “first wave” of Community Group hosts were trained on Monday night.  We’ve got great opportunities to get to know one another, invite our neighbors, and grow in our faith through these groups.  The first three groups are described below, and if you’d like to sign up you can simply reply to this email.

Our Community Groups and the new location possibilities are just two of the ways Spirit of Grace is continuing to be embedded in our community.

Finally, we are asking every family who is connected to Spirit of Grace to fill out a Participant Information Form.  We’ll distribute them on Sunday, or you can download one here >

Thank you for your continued prayer and participation in Spirit of Grace!

In Christ’s light,
