The heart of our worshiping community is — of course — worship! Our Sunday morning gatherings are about connecting and reconnecting. With God. With each other. Each Sunday we follow a simple pattern for worship: Gathering, Word, Meal, Sending.
- Gathering – We gather with song and prayer. Together, we confess our failings and receive assurance of God’s love and forgiveness in Jesus.
- Word – We hear readings from the Bible. Children are invited forward to hear teaching especially for them. Pastor Ted teaches on the day’s readings (and you can watch them online). Afterward, we join together in prayer for the world, the church, and all who are in need.
- Meal – We celebrate Holy Communion every week, and receive in the bread and wine tangible proof of God’s love and forgiveness for us in Jesus.
- Sending – After announcements and a blessing, we are sent back out into our daily lives.

Questions on Worship
When checking out a new church, people always have questions — and every church is different. Here are some of our answers:
- Dress code? Our dress code is “please wear clothes.” We don’t really care which ones.
- Musical style? A little of everything. Ancient and classic hymns, new music, contemporary.
- Kids welcome? Yes! Yes yes yes! Our weekly children’s message is especially for your kids, and we love to have kids with us in worship. During the offering, children are also invited to come forward with a few coins to practice generosity. Jesus said “let the children come to me,” and who are we to question that?
- Can I take communion? Yes. Holy Communion is a free gift from God for all who believe in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. It’s not our table, it’s Jesus’ table – and if he will eat with sinners like us, you’re welcome too.
